If it's the integrated Cable Modem/Router that comcast leases, you probably need to call comcast and have them upgrade the modem's firmware. I've had a few friends with the same problem. Upgrading the firmware seems to fix the problem. I myself bought a Motorola Surfboard 5100 several years ago and it never looses connection.
The only time I had problems was when CC had Nameserver problems for about a week, but I just manually configured my router to use another nameserver so I was unaffected. |
